AI is opening up an extraordinary amount of new opportunity — and what we've been able to build as a team, in terms of the tools and workflows we now run on, is something I genuinely could not have imagined at the start of 2026.

Projects and tasks that used to require coordinating several people across very different skill sets — a developer here, a UX/UI designer there — can now often be executed by simply talking to Claude.

There's a lot we want to build for our (fairly large) US and UK eCommerce clients — and honestly, that's the part that excites me most right now. We're more than open to sharing our success with everyone who helps us build it (see the profit-share program below).

Two kinds of people. One bar.

We hire for raw talent and the underlying capacities the work actually requires — not resume fit. Both profiles are anchored in the same standard. The difference is where you start.

We invest heavily in your domain expertise — Bloomreach Engagement, technical marketing for eCommerce, the craft itself — but only if the underlying material is there. The domain can be taught; the underlying capacities largely can't.

You solve problems you've never seen before

You break complex, ambiguous problems into structured components, ask the right questions before jumping to execution, and design solutions end-to-end — not partial fixes.

You're a strategic partner, not an operator

You understand the client's world before touching the platform, diagnose root causes rather than symptoms, build clear roadmaps — and push back when something doesn't add up.

You own client projects like your own business

You think like the client's owner, not their vendor — proactively suggesting improvements, surfacing risks, and taking responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.

You co-create the company itself

You don't just deliver work. You contribute to how Datacop operates — frameworks, patterns, processes, ideas. You help the company get better, not just yourself.

You earn trust systematically

High-quality output. Reliable follow-through. No avoidable mistakes, no overpromising. Trust is built through consistent behavior — internally and with clients.

You orchestrate an AI workforce

Whatever seat you take, AI is doing more and more of the execution — and your job is to direct it. You own the judgment, the strategy, and the outcomes. This is true across every role.

A note on AI — AI fluency isn't a separate requirement. It's deliberate: the standard describes consultants as problem solvers who orchestrate, and AI is just the newest — and most powerful — thing they orchestrate. If you're already AI-native, great. If you're hungry to learn, that also works. What doesn't work is treating AI as someone else's problem.

SEC.04 — How we work together

Context, mentorship, and a high bar. In exchange: judgment.

We don't manage people in the traditional sense. Leadership's role is to articulate a shared vision clearly enough that smart, self-directed people can run with it. Once you know what we're trying to build and why — we trust you to figure out how.

No micromanagement

Tasks exist. Client work has deliverables, projects have deadlines — and yes, we'll check whether things got done. What it means is that you won't be micromanaged. We trust your autonomy, and we expect you to use it.

This is freeing for the right person and uncomfortable for the wrong one. If you want a checklist and someone telling you what to do every day, this isn't the place. If you want to be trusted with real responsibility from early on, it is.

The 3-month trial period

Whichever path you join through, the first three months are a trial — for both sides. Three months of real work tells us — and tells you — far more than any hiring process can.

It's not probation — it's a mutual evaluation. You're also figuring out whether Datacop is where you want to spend the next several years of your career. Take that question as seriously as we take ours.

A 4-day workweek by default

We'd rather have high-quality, sustainable output over the long term than maximize hours. Prefer a 3-day or 5-day week? That's welcome too — and you can shift as your life changes. We're not drones.

30% profit share past six months

30% of company profit is distributed to Datacops who've been with us at least six months. When the company does well, you do well — directly. This isn't a perk. It's structural.

Client work that raises your ceiling

US and UK eCommerce brands generating $25M–$2B — real complexity, real budgets, real strategic decisions. For most consultants in Slovakia this caliber is hard to access. Here, it's the default.

Roughly 40% in-office, 60% remote

The platform at the center of what we do. Both co-founders spent years at Exponea — the Slovak startup that originally built it. When we started Datacop we evaluated alternatives and stayed, for one simple reason: we couldn't find anything better.
