AI Builder Internship
We have a concrete backlog of internal apps, workflows, and automations we want to build. You don't have to invent the idea, pitch it, and hope it matters — we hand you real, well-defined projects and you build them with us, AI-first.
Almost everyone can now see what AI can do. Far fewer know what they should actually build with it. That second part — knowing which problems are worth solving and what a genuinely useful tool looks like — is the hard part, and it's where most people get stuck.
We don't have that problem. We're a technical marketing agency working with large US and UK eCommerce brands, and we have a concrete backlog of internal apps, workflows, and automations we want to build. What we need is more hands to build them.
Before applying, please read our full Join Datacop page — this is a student entry point into the 🌱 Future Builder track described there.
You'll work through a set of defined internship projects — real internal tools and workflows, not busywork or throwaway demos:
…and plenty more — the backlog grows faster than we can build it, which is exactly why this internship exists.
The single most important signal. Somewhere — a side project, a hackathon, a tool you made for yourself, a repo, a thing you automated — you've built something and finished it. Shipped beats studied.
You already reach for AI to build, learn, and solve problems — or you're clearly on that path. This is non-negotiable: it's how the work is done here.
You can look at a rough problem and figure out what "good" looks like. You notice when something is clunky, and you care enough to fix it.
Ideally from a technical field (CS, software engineering, data, or similar) — but we won't gate on your major. Genuine builders with taste and drive: we want to talk regardless of what you're studying.
What we don't require: a specific degree, prior work experience, agency background, or knowledge of Bloomreach or eCommerce. Those are teachable. Builder instinct and AI fluency are what we're actually selecting for.
For the most talented interns, this can become a track to:
We're honest that not every internship converts — the bar for a permanent seat is high. But if you're clearly built for this, the internship is exactly how we both find that out.
